Diss Carnival Countdown begins!
16 May 2025
Pack your imagination and join us for this year’s Diss Carnival on Sunday 8th June!
The theme – Around Our World – promises a colourful, family-friendly celebration of global cultures, right here in our town centre.
The festivities kick off with the ever-popular Carnival Parade at 12.30pm, featuring 25 floats and walking groups, each showcasing a different country or culture. The procession begins at Diss High School and makes its way through town to the park.
From 1.30pm, Diss Park transforms into a vibrant hub of activity. Over 50 stalls will offer street food, crafts, games, and free children’s activities. Highlights include Larry Gray’s Funfair, a Fun Dog Show, face painting, a vintage horsebox photobooth, and much more.
Entertainment will run all afternoon across two stages, with music, dance, circus acts, and international performances – from Bollywood to Caribbean steel drums, Brazilian rhythms to Chinese lion dancers. Paul Preston Mills returns to host the main arena, and Park Radio will keep the party going in the Pavilion area until 5.30pm.
Local shops are joining in the fun too, decorating their shop windows for the Diss Carnival Window Dressing Competition, running until 9th June!
Free parking will be available at key locations, including Morrisons and South Norfolk Council car parks. For the latest updates, follow @DissCarnival on Facebook
Look out for the official Carnival Programme with all you need to know ahead of the big day, landing through Diss letterboxes by end of May!
