Calling all happy snappers

26 April 2021

Council News

The theme for the photo gallery in the next issue of our town magazine, Diss Matters (due out in the coming months) is ‘Reasons to be Cheerful’.  And we'd love to feature your pics!

So, if you’ve got a photograph that fits this brief (or are motivated to take one) please email it to us so we can include it in our magazine.

Send us your ‘Reasons to be Cheerful’

How you interpret the ‘Reasons to be Cheerful’ brief is up to you – the more colourful and creative the better.

It could be a photo that reflects how you celebrated coming out of this latest lockdown (meeting with family in the park, for example, or a drink with close friends in a local pub beer garden).

It could be something as simple and subtle as a bright yellow daffodil glowing in the sun. Something as spectacular and unexpected as a hot air balloon rising in the mist. Or even a lamb delicately baaa-lancing on its mama sheep (thank you Kim Cordy!).

Whatever your subject, if it cheered you up, please help us spread the love by sharing it with us. We’d be honoured to feature it and give our readers more reasons to smile too.

Please email your photograph (the higher resolution the better) to: towncouncil@diss.gov.uk with the following information:

  • Your name

  • The title of the photo (if you have one)

  • What you like about the photo and why you took it

  • Anything else you’d like to mention

Deadline: Friday 7th May 2021.

Terms and conditions

You will retain ownership of the photo and its copyright. By sending us your photograph you grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and use the image. We will endeavour to publish your name alongside the photograph wherever possible.
