Thanks to a generous donation from Baileys Fish & Chips, Rectory Meadow has a shiny new bench to replace the one that was burnt by vandals a couple of months earlier. 

The manager of the chip shop on Shelfanger Road, Cengiz Bolat, contributed £500 towards the replacement to set a good example to the children who walk past the park every day on their way to school. 

Diss Town Council would like to thank Baileys for such a kind-hearted and community-spirited gesture. 

Let’s hope this bench has the long, happy and healthy life it deserves!
