Morrisons Diss offers free meeting room for community groups

Morrisons (Diss store) is offering a free meeting room to local groups such as new parents, charities, book clubs, craft groups and gaming communities.
The in-store community room is free to use and can be booked through Morrisons Community Champions.
The initiative is designed to help community groups deal with the increasing cost of booking meeting spaces in local centres, after research revealed that local groups typically spend up to £20 an hour on meetup spaces.
The room has already been used by Different Strokes but there is still availability for use by regular groups or for one off events.
Kenny & Linda, Community Champions at Diss said: “We are pleased that we can offer this community room for local groups to use and help them to save money. We hope it will bring people together more or help them to learn new skills. It’s just another way that we can help our community.”
