Did you know the Mere is home to over 50,000 fish - and once even an 8ft catfish and an acrylic cast of a human head?! 

Two brand-new information boards have been installed around the Mere, replacing the old, weathered ones.   The updated designs are bright, engaging, and full of fascinating facts, inviting both visitors and residents to learn more about the history and mysteries of the Mere.  

You’ll also find helpful advice on healthy treats for the ducks, encouraging everyone to make kinder, more eco-friendly choices when feeding our feathered friends.  

Next time you’re enjoying a walk by the water, take a moment to stop and read them - you might just discover something new!
