EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER
Armed Forces Day – Saturday 27th June
Diss Town Council proudly recognises and supports Armed Forces Day, a time to honour the dedication, service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve in the British Armed Forces.
Unfortunately, due to the high temperatures forecast for tomorrow and the vulnerability of many members involved, & on advice from South Norfolk Council, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the event planned for the Market Place.
As a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, the Town Council works closely with both the Diss & District Royal British Legion and RAF Association branches to deliver events that remember, reflect upon, and give thanks to our Armed Forces community - past and present.
We encourage everyone to take a moment on Saturday to recognise and show appreciation for the bravery and commitment of our Armed Forces.
Diss Town Council looks forward to supporting and welcoming this important event back next year.
