We're very pleased to announce that we now have a full complement of 14 councillors, thanks to the recent co-option of John Wooddissee.
Previously an HR Director and now owner of a business management consultancy, Councillor Wooddissee moved to Norfolk in 1990. He made his home in Diss in 2019, attracted by the good transport links, excellent facilities and vibrant culture (particularly The Corn Hall) on offer in the town.
A qualified glider pilot in his younger days, Councillor Wooddissee has a long-standing interest in transport and transport history, particularly railways. He also enjoys theatre and speedway – he’s a King’s Lynn speedway supporter, and a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan (sorry Diss FC). He does, however, have the word ‘diss’ in the middle of his name!
“Having lived locally for almost 30 years, I do have a real passion for Diss and believe that I have skills and experience which can help the town grow and develop as it recovers from the pandemic,” says Councillor Wooddissee.
We would like to warmly welcome him onto the Council.
