More support for unpaid carers
16 November 2020
Council Services
The Carers Matter service in Norfolk provides support to unpaid carers across the county. Since September 2020, they've made a number of additions to their provision.
What's new?
As well offering carers assessments, the service now offers:
carers breaks
a health and wellbeing fund
a community outreach team
a follow-up service to check carers have the support they need
a volunteer service
education and training
a Carers Voice service to ensure carers' voices are heard.
More personalised support
With their recently enhanced service, Carers Matters Norfolk can deliver highly personalised support, focused on improving the health and wellbeing of carers so they're better equipped to carry out their caring roles.
Their advice line (0800 0831 148 ) is open seven days a week (Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 2pm) and can provide direct referals to the Community Carer Connector for one-to-one information and support.
