As part of #pickweek, Councillor Waterman has been clearing litter from different parts of the town and surrounding areas.  On Tuesday, he and a volunteer spent a few hours retrieving waste from Blackthorn Pit, a  small pond behind Taylor Road meeting room as part of #pickweek Day 2.       

The litter was collected by the own Council’s outdoor team and  disposed of appropriately.  

Cllr Waterman set up Diss Litterpicking Group around 18 months ago.  Meet the team of volunteers at the DYCC on Shelfanger Road at 10am on the second Saturday of each month.
