We have an exciting opportunity for a senior administrative role at the Town Council. The Deputy Town Clerk is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Town Council including leading a small & dedicated team, managing Council owned sites and facilities, overseeing the Council’s help desk & acting as Clerk to some committees. The postholder will also take responsibility for the Council’s communications & support the Town Clerk in delivering the Council’s objectives.

You will be expected to work as part of a small friendly team as well as on your own initiative. You will have at least two years’ management experience in an office environment, preferably in local government and will have excellent IT skills. The ability to manage time effectively and excellent communication skills are essential for this role as is a flexible approach to working hours.

Salary: SCP 25 (£23,111) – 33 (£29,909) pro rata
