We can’t quite believe how quick this year is going! We’re now over halfway through 2017 and so far, it’s been filled with lots of great events! As we approach August, here are some useful August dates for your diaries:
Sunday 6th August is a busy day for the town!
- A car boot sale on the park hosted by the Royal British Legion from 7am-11am, £5 per pitch.
- The Big Sing takes place at St Mary’s Church in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity with members of the service present on the night. Doors open at 6pm with the singing commencing at 6.30pm.
- The Diss Heritage Transport Fayre is also happening from 11am-5pm in the town centre and Heritage Triangle. With great entertainment including a classic car display, live music, mini beer festival and lots of stalls to browse. Some shops in the town will also have extended opening hours.
Saturday 12th August
- Park Alive 2017 is fast approaching on 12th August, hosted by the Diss & District Rotary Club in our lovely park. From 5pm-9.45pm, the park will come alive with live music, complemented by a bar, barbeque and raffle. The event is free entry and any profits from the event will go to the charities supported by the Rotary Club.
