Carnival Procession

Carnival is all about community, and working together. Every year, we are blown away by your ideas and fantastic efforts in creating wonderful costumes and floats for the parade.  The procession truly captures the spirit of Carnival and brings people together from all walks of life. From pre-school children right through to the elderly, anyone is welcome to join!

Whether you want to walk, skip, cycle or rollerskate your way round… or perhaps you’d rather enter a decorated vehicle- we’ve seen tractors, pirate ships, fire engines, 4x4s, lorries, sports cars… anything goes!

This year’s theme is ‘Pre-DISS-toric‘… let your imagination run wild with this one folks! We’re thinking of Early Man, The Flinstones, Pre-historic animals, Cavemen/women,  and hopefully quite a few dinosaurs!!

The Procession will depart from Diss High School (time to be confirmed) and follow the usual route along Walcot Road, down Mount Street, through the Market Place and Mere Street, culminating in the ‘Pre-DISS-toric’ themed Fun Day in Diss Park.
